Way of the Cross
With the monumental open-air Stations of the Cross, the Sanctuary wants to turn our eyes to the Merciful Love that Jesus showed us with his Passion and Death.
Fourteen stations go from the entrance of the house of the Pilgrim and lead along a wooded road, for a kilometer.
The first three stations are the work of the sculptor Antonio Ranocchia, and the others of the architect Alcide Ticó.
Along the road, we find some cement pillars bearing reflections and thoughts of Mother Esperanza: she invites us to follow Jesus on his road towards to Mount Calvary.
For Mother Esperanza, contemplating Jesus’ Passion especially implies the desire to imitate the feelings and the behavior of Jesus on the road leading to the Calvary. She wanted to live this in herself, and invites all those who approach to do the same.
